TLC Yoga Classes
My teaching emphasises the relationship between gravity, the breath and the spine, and is based on the approach of Vanda Scaravelli, (author of “Awakening the Spine”). Poses are adapted to suit you, whether you are a complete beginner or more experienced. In the poses we develop awareness of the body and release tension, and we bring tender, loving care (TLC) to our practice, with acceptance and patience. Forcing or pushing too hard creates tension and can lead to injury, so I help you to listen to your body when you practise.
With restrictions on face-to-face contact, I am offering online classes via Zoom (which is a free app) on Wednesday mornings from 10.00 - 11.30 am and on Thursday evenings from 6.30 - 8.00 pm. Classes run from the week starting 7 September until the week ending 4 December with a one-week break from 12 - 16 October. The cost is £10 per week for a block of five or six classes and you can attend either or both classes each week. The classes are suitable for anyone with some yoga experience but are not for beginners. Please contact me to sign up.
I am also offering one-to-one sessions, either online or face-to-face, which can be tailored for all levels including beginners, and can be arranged at a time to suit you.
I hope to run a Yoga for Health Lower Backs course early next year. This is a 12-week course intended for anyone with lower back pain or who wants to learn to look after their back, and is suitable for beginners and for those who have yoga experience. Please contact me to express interest.
