TLC Yoga Classes
My teaching emphasises the relationship between gravity, the breath and the spine, and is based on the approach of Vanda Scaravelli, (author of “Awakening the Spine”). Poses are adapted to suit you, whether you are a beginner or more experienced. In the poses we develop awareness of the body and release tension, and we bring tender, loving care ("TLC") to our practice, with acceptance and patience. Forcing or pushing too hard creates tension and can lead to injury, so I guide you to listen to your body when you practise.
I am currently offering online classes via Zoom (which is a free app) on Tuesday evenings from 6.30 - 7.30 pm and Wednesdays 10.00 - 11.30am. The Wednesday morning class includes an optional half hour of guided meditation. Classes run from the week starting 23 September 2024 until the week ending 13 December, with a one-week break from 28 October - 1 November. The cost is £60 for a block of six classes and you will receive a recording each week to stream or download. You can attend either or both classes. The classes are for anyone with some yoga experience but are not for complete beginners. Please contact me to sign up.
I am also run Yoga for Healthy Lower Backs courses from time to time, so please contact me to express interest. These are for small groups so tuition can be tailored to individuals.
I also offer one-to-one sessions, either online or face-to-face, which can be tailored for all levels including beginners, arranged at a time to suit you.
